VV Spijkenisse is a Dutch amateur football club from Spijkenisse, founded on June 1, 1946. The home games are played at Sportpark Jaap Riedijk, which is named after one of the founders. In the 2021/22 season, the standard team will play in the Dutch big league on Saturday.
The Green-Whites became champions of the Saturday amateurs in 1975 and then General amateur champion by beating the Sunday champion VV Emmen 4-2 (in Drenthe) and 1-0 (at home). In 2014 Spijkenisse won the championship of the First Division C, which forced the club to promote to the Dutch big league for years. For the first time since the 2002-2003 season, the green-whites can be found at this level again. In the 2014/15 season a period title was won and together with Quick Boys and RVVH they competed for a ticket for post-competition towards the Topklasse, but this was not realized. In the 2016/17 season, VV Spijkenisse became champion of the Dutch big league and promoted to the Third Division. A year later, however, they lost to HSV Hoek in the post-season against relegation, causing the club to take a step back.
The club currently has around 1200 members and is still growing in number every year, which led to a membership freeze in 2011. This makes the association one of the largest clubs in the Rijnmond region. Sportpark Jaap Riedijk has six football fields, two of which are modern artificial grass pitches. The association has a spacious canteen with a sponsor home, committee room, a number of meeting rooms and eighteen changing rooms. There is also a room for match discussions and analysis. The main field has a grandstand that can accommodate approximately 500 spectators.
