Associazione Calcio Monza (AC Monza for short) is an Italian football club from the city of Monza, Lombardy. The northern Italian club plays its home games at the Stadio Brianteo. The club had its period of success between the 1960s and the late 1970s, in which Monza won the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1976, the predecessor of the European Cup tournament.
In 2009 the club was taken over by Clarence Seedorf, Giuseppe Bergomi and businessman Salvo Zangari to provide the Brianzoli with new impulses. Later, Seedorf would have relinquished his shares in the club, but would remain active as a technical advisor.
