Arsenal Football Club is a football club from Highbury, London, which plays in the Premier League, the top division of English football. The club has won thirteen League titles, fourteen FA Cups (a record), two League Cups, sixteen FA Community Shields and a European Cup II and Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.
The club plays in red and white, and since August 2006 Arsenal has played at the Emirates Stadium. In that year the old Arsenal Stadium in Highbury was abandoned. With 60,000 seats, the Emirates Stadium is the third largest football stadium in England. The stadium is state-of-the-art, and the pitch is known as one of the best in Europe.
Arsene Wenger became Arsenal manager on September 30, 1996. Twenty years later, Wenger was the longest serving and most successful coach in club history. In the 2003/2004 season, Wenger won the Premier League without losing. His long tenure made him the longest serving coach in the Premier League. However, Wenger is not the most senior coach at the top English level as the Premier League has only been in existence since 1992.
