In the 2013-2014 season, Ipswich Town F.C. finished in 9th place in the Football League Championship under manager Mick McCarthy. The club briefly "flirted with the play-offs" but ultimately finished four points outside the play-off positions.
The team's top goalscorer for the season was David McGoldrick, who scored 16 goals in all competitions.
