Jari Litmanen played for Liverpool FC from January 2001 until August 2002 after joining on a free transfer from Barcelona. A boyhood Liverpool fan, the Finnish attacking maestro wore the unusual number 37 shirt as a tribute to club legends Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler.
