Sparta Rotterdam is a Dutch professional football club based in Rotterdam. Sparta Rotterdam, founded on April 1, 1888, is the oldest professional football team in the Netherlands.

Sparta currently compete in the Eredivisie, the top flight of Dutch professional football, which they have won six times, after gaining promotion from the Eerste Divisie in 2018-2019. The club is one of three professional football clubs from Rotterdam, the others being Excelsior (since 1902) and Feyenoord (since 1908).

The 2020–21 season was Sparta Rotterdam's 133rd existing season and the club's second consecutive season in the top flight of Dutch football. In addition to the national competition, Sparta Rotterdam took part in the KNVB Cup this season. The season covered the period from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
