Original Legea Palermo 2011/12 football shirt

Palermo FC is an Italian football club that plays in the Serie C. The club plays its home games at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

On July 13, 2019, the Italian federation FIGC ruled that due to the lack of the necessary financial documents, the club was not eligible for a professional license, US Palermo was sentenced to return to the amateurs (Serie D). The same month, the club was taken over by two entrepreneurs, Dario Mirri & Tony DiPiazza. The club made a new start in amateur football from the 2019/20 season under the name Società Sportiva Dilettantistica Palermo. In 2020 the name was changed to Palermo FC.
