U.S. Avellino 1912 (formerly known as Avellino Calcio) is an Italian football club from Avellino, Campania.

The club was founded in 1912 and was promoted to Serie B for the first time in 1973, five years later the club even made it to Serie A and managed to maintain itself there for ten years, until 1988. Avellino usually finished in the middle with a eighth place in 1987 as best result. Since the relegation, the club has been going up and down between Serie B and Serie C1. The last relegation from Serie B dates back to 2006. After the 2006/07 season, the club was promoted from Serie C1 to Serie B.

In July 2009, Avellino was banned from professional football. The football club first played in Serie D (amateur football) under a new name: Avellino Calcio 12 SSD.In 2013, Avellino was promoted to Serie B. In 2018, the club was returned to Serie D, but was immediately promoted back to Serie C in 2019. The name was changed back to US Avellino 1912.
