SC Amersfoort home shirt 1981-1982 – a tribute to a forgotten chapter in football

Heijzoo Retro Sportswear is releasing a unique retro football shirt in a limited edition: the home shirt of SC Amersfoort from the 1981-1982 season. A nod to a forgotten club, an iconic design, and a piece of Dutch football culture to be proud of.

SC Amersfoort, founded in 1973, was a short but striking appearance in Dutch professional football. The club played in the First Division for almost ten seasons, with the Juliana van Stolbergpark as its home base. Despite the support of the city and loyal supporters, the club was forced to surrender its professional license in 1982 due to financial problems – and disappeared from professional football.

The city of Amersfoort, centrally located and with a rich sporting history, lost its representation at professional level. The shirt from that last season, 1981-1982, is therefore symbolic of an era that was over, but not forgotten.
