Almere City Football Club is a professional football club based in Almere, Netherlands. The club, founded in 2001, currently plays in the Eerste Divisie, after relegation from the Eredivisie in the 2024-2025 season. The club plays its home games at the Yanmar Stadion with a capacity of 4,501.
The club builds on previous Amsterdam clubs and is an outgrowth of the ambitions of the municipality of Almere to play an active role in top-level sport. To this end, the sports club Omniworld was founded, which consists of a volleyball branch, a basketball branch and a football branch. Before the 2010-2011 season, the club was renamed Almere City FC.
