Jansen & Tilanus Sport

Jansen & Tilanus is a Dutch brand, which mainly had a great reputation between 1869 and 1981 as a producer of clothing and underwear. The brand dates back to 1869 and has its origins in Vriezenveen. The company was also a supplier of sportswear for the well-known Dutch sports and football clubs. Due to the competition that Jansen & Tilanus experienced from low-wage countries, the textile manufacturer was forced to close its factories in 1981. Today, the brand name is used as a brand of backpacks.

With the rise of sports in the Netherlands, Jansen & Tilanus was a clothing manufacturer for athletes and sports clubs in many sports disciplines from the end of the 19th century for decades. The company supplied sportswear to almost all Dutch football clubs, including the national champions AFC Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV. Between 1963 and 1970, Jansen & Tilanus Sport was again Feyenoord's clothing brand until the semi-finals of the European Cup I in April 1970, but afterwards the Rotterdam club continued to play in the final in sportswear from Le Coq Sportif.
