PlayerLayer began by making custom team uniforms for some of Britain's most prestigious Universities. Historically, these institutions often created and moulded the sports we know and love today.

Our core kit is classically designed, durable and reliable. Athletes need simple, long-lasting core kit, so they can focus on performance and training. We call these products, Modern Sport Basics, no fast fashion… We have now launched Ecolayers. We use the same design philosophy of durability, and function, but with eco-friendly materials.

We know that sport, along with art and music is a driver of cultural change. It creates bonds and breaks down barriers, it can send a message. We feel the most important message of all is the environmental crisis.

We work with organisations that share our ethos and vision. Forest Green Rovers are the worlds greenest sports club as recognised by the United Nations. We supply them with a Bamboo Charcoal playing kit. They train and travel in organic cotton and recycled polyester products. We are rolling out this catalogue across a range of professional and amateur sports clubs, using sports as a driver for change.
