Rocco Robert Shein was born on July 14, 2003, in Tallinn, Estonia. He is a defensive midfielder and went through his youth academy at FC Flora Tallinn. He subsequently moved to the Netherlands, where he played for FC Utrecht and FC Dordrecht. Later, he played for the Norwegian club Fredrikstad FK.

Shein made his debut for the Estonian national team in June 2022. Since then, he has grown into an important player within the national squad. He represents a new generation of Estonian internationals and plays an important role in the national team's midfield. Estonia is a relatively small footballing nation in Europe. The country regained its independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and has since built its own national football tradition. Although Estonia does not belong among the traditional European football elites, the country has produced several interesting players in recent years.
