During the 2010/11 season, Swedish midfielder Freddie Ljungberg had a brief, short-term stint with Celtic F.C. After leaving Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire in October 2010, the 33-year-old former Arsenal star arrived in Glasgow for a trial in late December. Manager Neil Lennon was impressed enough to sign Ljungberg to a short-term contract on December 30, 2010, assigning him the #7 shirt.
