Tinkoff was a Russian cycling team sponsored by Tinkoff since June 25, 2012. Saxo Bank was also a sponsor from 2009 to 2014. Saxo Bank was led by Bjarne Riis (1996 Tour de France winner) and is a continuation of Memory Card home Jack & Jones and Tiscali co-sponsored by CSC and later by Team CSC. The team is a participant in the UCI World Tour. The team won the team classification of the UCI ProTour in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Saxo Bank is known as a team that is very all-round; the team has a topper or a sub-topper in every area. In 2003, Tyler Hamilton won the first "Monument" for the team, Liège-Bastogne-Liège. In 2006, after many podium places, the first Grand Tour was won; Ivan Basso became overall winner of the Tour of Italy. Fabian Cancellara won Paris-Roubaix earlier that year. In 2008, the Swiss added a victory in Milan-San Remo, and in 2010 he took the double Ronde van Vlaanderen-Paris-Roubaix. Luxembourger Andy Schleck was also the best in Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 2009.
