The French cycling team Novemail–Histor–Laser Computer rode its second season in the professional peloton in 1993. The team was formed around manager Jean de Gribaldy and was a mix of French talents and experienced riders. Leaders like Charly Mottet, Robert Millar, and the Dutchman Johan Capiot achieved success in both stage races and classics.
Wearing their signature green and white team jerseys, Novemail–Histor made a strong showing in the one-day races in the spring, where Capiot regularly competed for top spots. In the 1993 Tour de France, the team rode an aggressive race, with Mottet spearheading the general classification. Millar, the Scottish climber, showcased his talents in the mountain stages.
Although the team existed only briefly (1992–1993), the name Novemail–Histor stuck with cycling fans thanks to its colorful image and the combination of established names and young talents. It was a typical early 1990s team: recognisable, idiosyncratic and always looking for success in both classics and tours.
