Netherlands World Cup 2006 – Nike | Fanshop Shirt Ruud van Nistelrooy #9 | Size M
Original Dutch national team fanshop shirt from the 2006 World Cup in Germany, produced by Nike. This orange shirt bears number 9 on the back, named after Ruud van Nistelrooy – the striker who was one of the biggest stars of the Dutch national team at the time.
The 2006 World Cup started promisingly: the Netherlands qualified for the group stage undefeated, winning against Serbia & Montenegro and Ivory Coast, after which a draw against Argentina was enough to advance. However, they were eliminated in the round of 16 after a tense match against Portugal (0-1), better known as the 'Battle of Nuremberg', in which no fewer than four red cards were received. Van Nistelrooy played in the group stage and remained a fan favorite.
Condition: very good
Size: M
Special: Shirt number 9 with Van Nistelrooy, one of the most important Dutch strikers of his generation.
A beautiful and historic shirt that immediately takes you back to the 2006 World Cup and the glory years of the Dutch national team.
