Tracy McGrady started his legendary NBA career with the Toronto Raptors, who drafted him 9th overall in the 1997 NBA Draft straight out of high school. Over three seasons in Toronto from 1997 to 2000, McGrady evolved from a raw, low-minute bench player into an elite perimeter defender and athletic playmaker alongside his cousin, superstar Vince Carter. He appeared in 192 games for the franchise, averaging 11.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game before departing for the Orlando Magic in free agency in the summer of 2000.
