Kai Makani(born 1996, Maui, Hawaii) is the engine of Aloha FC. A midfielder with the tranquility of the ocean but the power of the surf. His name literally means "sea breeze," and that's exactly how he plays: calm, fluid, but with sudden bursts of power that break the game open.

Kai grew up among surfboards and soccer nets, with a father who played beach soccer in the 1980s and a mother who was a traditional Hawaiian hula dancer. This blend of rhythm and control is evident in Kai's every pass and dribble.

At Aloha FC, he is known as the "Breakwater" because his vision of the game allowed him to stop every opponent's attack before it became dangerous. In 2025, he was named captain of the revamped Aloha FC in the inaugural Continental Cult League.
