Original retro vintage football shirt KFC Uerdingen 05 2017/18

KFC Uerdingen 05 is a German football club from Krefeld; Uerdingen is a part of Krefeld.

FC Uerdingen 05 was founded in 1905. In 1953 the club merged with Werkssportgruppe Bayer AG Uerdingen, the local sports club of chemical giant Bayer AG, the new name of the club was FC Bayer 05 Uerdingen.

Until the 1950s the club played at amateur level, after that they reached the Amateurliga Niederrhein (3rd) and in 1971 they were promoted to the Regionalliga West (2nd). After a few years the club was promoted to the Bundesliga in the 1974-75 season, where they finished last. After 3 years in the 2nd division they were promoted again, where they stayed for two years this time.

In April 2022, the club returned to their home stadium after four years and after the 2023/24 season, KFC Uerdingen was promoted to the Regionalliga West again because the two clubs that finished higher did not want to be promoted. In April 2025, the club was declared bankrupt.
