Discovery Channel was an American cycling team, formally called the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team, of which most of the riders came from abroad. The team was sponsored by the Discovery Channel television channel and existed since the start of the UCI ProTour in 2005 as the successor to US Postal Service - Berry Floor.
The leader of the team was Lance Armstrong, but with riders such as Tour of Italy winner Paolo Savoldelli and young talents Jaroslav Popovytsj and Stijn Devolder, the team had more irons in the fire in the laps. In the one-day races, the team mainly counted on George Hincapie and again Stijn Devolder. Team leader was Johan Bruyneel, who was assisted by Dirk Demol, Lorenzo Lapage and Sean Yates. Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team's annual budget was 10 to 15 million euros.
