Arsenal Football Club is a football club based in Highbury, London that plays in the Premier League, the top division of English football. The club won thirteen League titles, thirteen FA Cups (a record), two League Cups, fifteen FA Community Shields and also a European Cup II and Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.
The club plays in red and white, and since August 2006, Arsenal has played at the Emirates Stadium. In that year the old Arsenal Stadium in Highbury was abandoned. Emirates Stadium is the third largest football stadium in England with 60,000 seats. The stadium is state of the art, and the turf is known as one of the best in Europe.
On September 30, 1996, Arsène Wenger became manager of Arsenal. Twenty years later, Wenger was the longest-serving and also the most successful coach in club history. In the 2003/2004 season, the Premier League was won under Wenger without losing. With his long employment, he became the longest-serving coach in the Premier League. However, Wenger is not the highest senior coach at the highest English level because the Premier League has only been around since 1992.
