Arsenal Football Club is a football club from Highbury, London, which plays in the Premier League, the highest division of English football. The club won thirteen League titles, thirteen FA Cups (one record), two League Cups, fifteen FA Community Shields and furthermore a European Cup II and Jaarbeursstedenbeker.
The club plays in red and white, and since August 2006 Arsenal plays in the Emirates Stadium. In that year the old Arsenal Stadium in Highbury was abandoned. With 60,000 seats, the Emirates Stadium is the third largest football stadium in England. The stadium is ultramodern, and the turf is known as one of the best in Europe.
Arsène Wenger became the manager of Arsenal on 30 September 1996. Twenty years later, Wenger was the longest-serving and also the most successful coach in club history. In the 2003/2004 season, the Premier League was won under Wenger without losing. With his long-term employment, he became the longest-serving coach in the Premier League. However, Wenger is not the coach with the greatest seniority at the highest English level because the Premier League has only existed since 1992.
