Óscar Freire Gomez (born 15 February 1976 in Torrelavega) is a former cyclist from Spain. He was active as a professional from 1998 to 2012. He is one of the select group of riders who became world cycling champion three times. He was one of the few Spaniards in his generation to achieve success in the Northern European classics.
