Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, popularly called 'Spurs' or 'Tottenham', is a football club in the Tottenham district of London and was founded in 1882 as Hotspur FC by boys from the Hotspur cricket club and local elementary school. In 1884, the name was changed to Tottenham Hotspur Football and Athletic Club.
Tottenham Hotspur played its games on White Hart Lane in the Tottenham district of London for 118 years, but has played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since April 2019.
The Spurs are traditionally seen as a big club in England; in the 1960/61 season, the Spurs were the first team in the 20th century to reach the double. They won both the competition and the cup.
