Jonas Gonçalves Oliveira(Bebedouro, 1 April 1984) - alias Jonas - is a Brazilian former footballer who was able to play as a striker, winger and attacking midfielder. He played for Guarani, Santos, Grêmio, Portugesa, Valencia and Benfica from 2005 to 2019. Jonas played twelve international matches for the Brazil national football team from 2011 to 2016, for which he scored three times. In addition to Brazilian, he also has Italian nationality.
On January 27, Jonas signed a contract with Valencia, which paid €1,200,000 for him to Grêmio. He made his debut for the club on February 19, 2011. He scored his first goal on February 27 against Athletic Bilbao. This goal later turned out to be the winning one, as it was 2-1. On November 1, 2011, Jonas scored the second fastest ever Champions League goal at the time. He did that in 10.5 seconds against Bayer Leverkusen, in a match that was won 3-1.
