Pär Zetterberg(born 14 October 1970 in Falkenberg) is a former Swedish football player. He played for RSC Anderlecht for the majority of his career, winning several trophies and receiving an acclaimed farewell in 2006. Zetterberg also played 30 times for the Sweden national team between 1993 and 1999, a number that could have risen had he not voluntarily declined international football under Tommy Söderberg.
Zetterberg was an attacking midfielder who made his debut at the highest level at a young age. In the 90s, the Swede became Anderlecht captain. He led the Purple & White to several national titles and was voted the best player in the Belgian league several times. Zetterberg won the Golden Shoe twice and was voted Professional Footballer of the Year three times. He also received the Fair-Play Award six times.
