Jeremain Lens(Amsterdam, 24 November 1987) is a Dutch professional footballer who usually plays as a striker. In July 2018, he signed a contract until mid-2022 with Beşiktaş JK, which will lease him to Fatih Karagümrük from February 2021. He also played for PSV and AZ and on loan for N.E.C., Fenerbahçe and Sunderland. Lens made his debut in August 2010 in the Dutch national football team.
Lens and PSV reached an agreement on 1 June 2010 about a transfer to Eindhoven. AZ and PSV had already reached an agreement about the transition, which also involved Dirk Marcellis, who went the opposite way. Lens signed a contract in Eindhoven until the summer of 2015.
Lens performed inconsistently at PSV. During the historic 10-0 win against Feyenoord, Lens scored his first two goals for PSV, he made the 5-0 and the 10-0. Still, Lens had a difficult season and eventually lost his starting spot. In its second season, PSV is again participating in the title fight for a long time. Lens starts as a right winger but loses his place during the season to Zakaria Labyad and, after the resignation of trainer Fred Rutten, Georginio Wijnaldum. Towards the end of the season he manages to drive Tim Matavz out of the attack.
At the start of the 2012/13 season, he was preferred by new coach Dick Advocaat to Tim Matavz as front striker.
After the Feyenoord-PSV (2-1) competition match on Sunday 24 February 2013 in the Kuip in Rotterdam, Lens sought a confrontation with Feyenoord defender Joris Mathijsen in the catacombs due to an incident that had occurred on the field. Lens had to answer for the fight to his club management, who imposed the maximum fine on him. The professional football prosecutor imposed a four-game suspension on Wednesday, February 27. PSV agreed to that penalty.
