KESK Leopoldsburg is a Belgian football club from Heppen, a district of Leopoldsburg. The club is affiliated with the KBVB with base number 3904 and has yellow-red-green as club colors.
In 2002 Excelsior FC Heppen merged with SK Strooiendorp Leopoldsburg. The younger club SK Strooiendorp Leopoldsburg was founded in 1982 and affiliated with the football association with base number 8821. This club was promoted from Second to First Provincial in 1999, but dropped back to Second Provincial in 2000. The fusion club was called Koninklijke Excelsior Sportkring Leopoldsburg and continued to play in the Fourth Division with base number 3904 van Heppen. Stock number 8821 van Heppen disappeared.
The fusion club would soon have a successful period. In 2004 KESK Leopoldsburg took third place and a place in the final round, losing to KFC Evergem-Center. In 2005 it was a hit for the club. Leopoldsburg became champion of his series. The club had finished with 57 points, the same as FC Hedera Millen, but the goal difference was one more than that of Millen. For the first time in club history, KESK Leopoldsburg promoted to Third Division.
This stay in Derde was only limited to one season. Leopoldsburg became penultimate and dropped again to Fourth Division, where the club was able to maintain itself the following years. In 2008/09 they made it to the final round again thanks to the second period title. After a win against Sprimont Comblain Sport, however, they lost to KSK Hasselt. Also in 2009/10 they won two period titles and a place in the final round.
