Go Ahead Eagles is a Dutch professional football club from Deventer. The home games are played in De Adelaarshorst's own stadium.
Go Ahead, the club from which Go Ahead Eagles originated, was founded on December 2, 1902 as Be Quick. Upon joining the NVB in 1905, the club (because of the already existing Groningen club Be Quick) was obliged to change its name and did so in Go Ahead. On July 31, 1971, when the amateur and professional branches were split, the addition Eagles was added to the name at the intercession of then trainer-coach Barry Hughes. The amateurs continued as D.V.V. Go ahead.
