FC Girondins de Bordeaux, or Bordeaux for short, is a French football club from Bordeaux, which plays in the Ligue 1, the highest French league. It is one of the most successful clubs in France and has played the most European matches of all French football clubs. The club won the Dutch title six times. The arch rival of Bordeaux is Toulouse FC. Competitions against Toulouse are also called the Derby de la Garonne. The other rivals are Olympique Marseille, Olympique Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain.
