Borussia Dortmund is a German football club from Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club also has a handball and table tennis section. The club plays in the largest stadium in the Bundesliga, Signal Iduna Park. The club colors are black-yellow. Dortmund's arch rival is Schalke 04, from nearby Gelsenkirchen. Matches are known as the Kohlenpott derby. Today Bayern Munich is also a rival to Dortmund. The matches between these two rivals are known as Der Klassiker. The club won eight league titles and in 1966 was the first German club to win a European cup. In 1997 the club also won the Champions League and the World Cup for club teams. They annually have the largest number of supporters in the world.
