During the 2007-2008 season, Associazione Sportiva Roma played the 75th season of Serie A in its history.
As in the previous season, Roma finished second in Serie A behind Internazionale, but had the chance to win the championship until the last game.
In addition, since Giallorossi won the Coppa Italia from 2006 to 2007, they played the Supercoppa Italiana against Inter for the second consecutive time and won the trophy thanks to a 1-0 win in the first game of the season in San Siro.
In the European competitions, Roma played the UEFA Champions League 2007-2008 and, from the group stage, defeated Real Madrid in the eighth final, but lost to eventual champion Manchester United in the quarterfinals.
The last game of the season was the 2007-08 final of Coppa Italia against Internazionale, the fourth consecutive final between the two teams. The Giallorossi won 2-1, their ninth victory in Coppa Italia.
