Samir Nasri(Marseille, 26 June 1987) is a French former professional footballer of Algerian descent who usually played as an attacking midfielder. Between 2004 and 2020 he played for Olympique Marseille, Arsenal, Manchester City, Sevilla FC and RSC Anderlecht. He made his debut in March 2007 for the France national football team.
Samir Nasri comes from the youth academy of Olympique Marseille, for which he played in the first team from 2004 to 2008. In the summer of 2008, Arsene Wenger brought him to Arsenal. Nasri scored two goals in his debut against West Bromwich Albion. He broke his fibula on 21 July 2009 while training for Arsenal in Austria.
At the intercession of his former teammate Vincent Kompany, he came to RSC Anderlecht in the 2019/20 season, but that was not a great success. Since then he was without a team and did TV work as an analyst. He officially announced the end of his playing career on September 26, 2021.
